Allison grew up in Rochester and received her bachelor's degree in biology from Houghton College before getting her vet tech degree from Bel-Rea Institute of Technology in Denver.
However, her history of working with animals goes back farther than that; during high school, she worked for a kennel at another animal hospital. Then, after receiving her vet tech degree, she landed her first LVT job at East River.
"I've always loved animals. I enjoy working with owners and their pets and providing the best care possible for them. I also enjoy client education so that owners can provide the best lives for their pets."
She has one pet, Olive, a black and tan short-haired Dachshund. When she's not working, she loves to hike, camp, spend time outdoors, read, watch movies and take weekend trips to visit friends.
Allison married her husband, Rick, in November 2011. Rick brings his ball python, Mr. Wiggles, to their new family!
